The Abbey of Maredsous enters in the digital era with Thelys

The 30 monks and the 70 employed people of the Abbey of Maredsous in Belgium have decided to engage into new TIC by choosing the new Kiwix technological platform developed by Thelis a company which has been accompanied by the BEPN, the BIC of Namur.With this platform, the Abbey will be able to manage their four sites in an autonomous way. This user-friendly product will evolve according to the needs of the client and will enable at a later stage to improve the security of persons.  
The decision of this in-depth evolution was motivated by the necessity to reduce the operational costs and has rapidly suggested the opportunity to improve significantly the internal management of the four sites of the Abbey. 

About Thelis
THELIS is specialised in the conception and development of solutions/products combining electronics and computer technologies. Thelis was founded in 1989 under the name of DTI, and located in Naninne (province of Namur – Belgium).
After several years, they launched Kiwix on the market, a computing solution which is generally targetd at staff form large corporates but which is now available to Micro enterprises and SMEs.
Thelis has been followed-up by BEPN (Bureau Economique de la Province de Namur), an EBN Full member, in the following fields : coaching, partnership, marketing, strategic intelligence. The access to the containers park of the whole Province of Namur, managed by the BEPN, is now controlled thanks to the electronic identity card ; one of the mission entrusted by BEPN to Thelis who will now be able to export his know-how.
