As every year, all EBN Full members are invited to fill in the "quality questionnaire" that guarantees the compliance with the quality procedures linked to the granting of the EC BIG logo. This questionnaire is also to be seen as one of the best tools for the EBN Community to gather extremely useful information about EBN members' activities and needs that enables EBN to set up new initiatives, projects and events to even more better serve its Community! Don't waste time anymore and fill in the questionnaire before March 31st.

EMMIA : European Mobile and Mobility Industry Alliances

Among the new initiatives launched to support the Innovation Union there are special platforms proposed to champion the mobile technology sector and Europe‟s creative industries. The European Mobile and Mobility Industries Alliance (EMMIA) is a cross-sectoral initiative focused on more sustainable solutions in the field of transport and logistics. A call for proposals will probably be launched in the next coming months.

Eurotrans-Bio - a leg up for Europe's biotech SMEs

Under the Eurotrans-Bio banner, 9 European regions and countries (Austria, Flanders/belgian, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Basque Country/Spain and Spain) joined their forces to promote transnational biotechnology research cooperation, particularly among SMEs. Between them, the project partners cover somme 55 to 60 % of the EU's biotech industry including policy makers, agencies and their respective funding programmes, united by their common goal to boost the competitiveness of Europe's biotech industry.

BlueBioNet Success story - Platform for European blue biotechnology

The Bluebionet project has linked up four of the EU's maritime regions (Lower Weser/Germany - Andalusia/Spain - Scotland/UK - Provence-Alpes-Côte d'azur/France) to help them share knowledge and boost innovation in the growing marine biotechnology sector. The project aimed to support the development of the blue biotechnology sector in the regions; boost collaboration between research organisations and industry; encourage regional companies to embark on research activities; and promote research cooperation and technology transfer between the regions involved.

EBN Mission to China

EBN recently joined its 5 EU partners in a dynamic 2 day C2C project status meeting in Bucharest Romania. Officially launched in Brussels last October, the C2C project is funded under the European Commission’s lifelong learning ‘Leonardo da Vinci programme’.
